About Maple Ridge, BC

Maple Ridge is a city of 90,990 people (2021, up 10.6%) on the north bank of the Fraser River, about 45 kilometres east of Vancouver. More than half of its listings are detached houses, which is the main reason families move here from Burnaby and Coquitlam. West Central and East Central, on either side of the historic Haney core, are the established neighbourhoods with the most listings. Albion and Silver Valley, on the eastern and northern edges, are where the new subdivisions and townhouse complexes are being built. Cottonwood and Whonnock are the rural and acreage areas. The West Coast Express commuter train stops at Maple Meadows and Port Haney and reaches Waterfront Station in Vancouver in about an hour on weekday mornings; the Golden Ears Bridge connects the city to Langley and Surrey. Golden Ears Provincial Park, Alouette Lake and the UBC research forest are at the city's doorstep.
