About White Rock, BC

White Rock is a small seaside city of 21,939 people (2021, up 10%) on Semiahmoo Bay, surrounded by South Surrey on three sides and the United States border on the fourth. The 2.2-kilometre promenade, the pier and the beach restaurants along Marine Drive are the whole identity of the town, and the listings follow the slope above them: condos and townhouses on the hillside with ocean views, detached homes further up, and a cluster of newer towers near the Uptown shopping district at Johnston Road. Just over half of White Rock listings are condos, which makes it one of the few places in Metro Vancouver where a buyer can get an ocean view at a condo price. The city has no SkyTrain; South Surrey Park and Ride and Highway 99 connect it to Vancouver, about 45 minutes away.
